  • #UltraChallenge25 for CALM

    Dear Friends and Partners,

This 24-25 May I will once again be joining the 100 Km London > Brighton #UltraChallenge (https://www.ultrachallenge.com/london-2-brighton-challenge/) to raise funds and awareness for the Campaign Against Living Miserably (https://www.thecalmzone.net/) the suicide prevention charity.

Walking continuously from the capital to the coast, the start-point is the Old Deer Park, Richmond along the river to Kingston Upon Thames, then via New Malden, over the Surrey Hills, under the M25 and carrying onto Turners Hill – the half-way mark. As the evening becomes night the route passes Ardingly, Wivelsfield, Plumpton and then up the South Downs around dawn before the welcome sight of the English Channel coastline and eventually Brighton racecourse with the finishing line.

Last year I was able to complete the route in 23 hours, 59 minutes 50 seconds including stops. This year I’d like to match that performance – but I am a little more aware of the impact of the weather (no over-night rain please) and the joints and feet are a little older.

I’ll be using a Geo Tracker so anyone who sponsors can follow my progress every step of the way or even join me along the route if so inclined.

So, if you can, please donate via JustGiving (https://www.justgiving.com/page/tj-chambers-1735421257242) or support by reposting on LinkedIn or Bluesky.

If you’d like to become a corporate sponsor (minimum @£5 Per Km) then I’ll bundle in a One/Two-Day Mentoring + Strategic Advice session Free-Of-Charge (excluding travel expenses). DM me for further details.

Last year I was able to raise £1,920 + Gift Aid, if possible I’d like to exceed that.

Lastly, albeit slightly unrelated, don’t forget your New Order Blue Monday / CALM t-shirt (https://store.neworder.com/gb/new-order/blue-monday-calm-t-shirt-2025/5021732619068_CONFIG.html).

    Thanks.
